Dental implants, step by step
Missing a tooth? Here is how we fix it.
An implant is a small titanium post that becomes a new tooth root. Tap through the four steps to see what actually happens, from the first scan to your new tooth.
Consult and 3D scan
Dr. Hales examines the gap, your gums and your bite, and takes 3D digital X-rays to measure the bone in that exact spot.
Your written plan
The implant position is planned around your bite. You get the number of implants, the restoration, the timeline and the cost in writing.
Implant placement
A small titanium post is placed under local anesthesia. Over the next few months the bone grows tightly around it.
Your new tooth
Once the implant has fused with the bone, a connector and a custom crown are attached and your bite is fine-tuned.
Your first visit
Here is exactly what happens.
No pressure and no surprises. Whether you are here for a cleaning or a new smile, every visit follows the same simple path.
